This page was created by one of the grandsons of Chief Giwa Famutimi (Giwa Lalubasa), the Aruwa of Ondo Kingdom in Ondo State, Nigeria.
Nigeria is one of the West African Countries and has been said to be the most populous black nation and the giant of Africa.
Chief Giwa was a very successful farmer and business man with over 21 wives and about 98 children. The zeal for success took many of Chief Famutimi's children beyond the boundaries of Africa and many are very successful in businesses and academics.
This website is created to act as a focal point for all the Famutimi descendants to converge and unite to celebrate the love and unity typical of this great family.
The administrator of this web page is Eric Famutimi, the son of Lawrence Ibitayo Famutimi (Baba Wolewole).
Majority of the stories I will tell on here are stories I learnt from when I was young. Please do let me know if you have different versions and contributions.
Send us your pictures, movies, stories and any information that you would like to be included in building this website.
I have a recorded video interview with my father in 2002 and will be converting that from PAL to NTSC to be uploaded on here.
Chief Lawrence’s mother, my grandmother was said to be the third wife of about 23 wives that our grandfather had. Her name was Aderujomu Famutimi and she passed on in 1989. Mama Aderujomu had four children, Kolade Fawehinmi, Ajayi Famutimi, Lawrence Famutimi and Elliot Famutimi.
It is expected that this site would eventually be designed such that we can build the family tree from each of the wives.
This project started with Famutimi.net with a starter page on which it was promised that the real page would be coming very soon. Famutimi.org was lunched on May 9, 2008. Both sites are sister sites and you can access this page from the dot net domain.
I am very eager to lunch this site and hope to read from all the Famutimis near and wide.
On the next page, I will list some of the names I can remember, starting from my own immediate family.
I look forward to volunteers in developing this website so we can build the family tree as quickly as possible.
Many of us live in the United States
and Canada and I look forward to the day when we will have our first family reunion.
Please note again that the development of this website is a collective effort and this home page will change with time
I look forward to reading from you and if you would like to have an email account on this domain please send an email to eric@famutimi.org

This was taken in July 2007 when Omobola, one of Chief Bintan's sons from the UK visited us in Michigan .
